Skydiving suits are made of various materials. The type of skydiving/jumping each individual participates in can give some general guideline for the type of material and suit. The various fabrics will have different drag characteristics when the diver is in the air. For most skydiving suits, manufacturers use nylon, cotton, spandex and polyester.

Materials

There are two things in the skydiving apparel line that each diver might want to customize. The first, a skydiving suit, is a critical piece of equipment to the diver. This must be made properly, from the correct materials, and must fit a certain way to make the skydiving experience all it can be. The second item is a bit more frivolous, but individuals tend to want a unique skydiving t-shirt to commemorate their first jump or to let people know where their interests lie.

To reduce drag and allow the diver to move freely, freeflying suits are generally made of materials that are lighter than those in some other suits. These suits are usually made of a cotton and polyester blend. The second type of suit, also known as RW, might be made of more dense fabric to give a bit more lift, or more drag. These suits often have grips attached for group maneuvers and so on.

Most experienced skydivers urge new divers not to get a skydiving suit from an online mass product source. At the very least, each individual should work with a company representative, even if online, to follow size and ordering guidelines to the letter. A bit of extra time spent at this stage will make the skydiving experience much more enjoyable later.

Don't rush into purchasing a one-size skydiving suit. Take time to make this special piece of equipment your own. And while you're at it, get that special skydiving t-shirt made to help you remember the thrills of this great sport.

Choosing A Skydiving Suit

Many skydiving suits are custom made to fit a particular body style comfortably, since every skydiver has a unique body type. This may not seem as crucial as a parachute for the skydiver, but freefall can be greatly affected by a suit that is not, well, suitable.

Paintballs are said to be .68 caliber, but no one is perfect. Paintballs, depending on the brand, temperature, and other factors, tend to vary slightly in size. Some may be .689, some may be .681, and some may be anywhere in between. This little difference in size can have a large impact on your accuracy and efficiency. Having too big of paint for your barrel may cause more breaks. Too small of paint for your barrel may cause a drop in accuracy, and use up more air to push the paintball out of the barrel. It takes more air to push the paintball out because their will be air escaping around the paintball when the gun is shot. The gap between a paintball that is smaller than the barrel it is inside of will let some air escape by it. This means you would have to increase your velocity, and use more air.

If no paintball fits, it's a good idea to have a few paintball barrels that each have different bore sizes. Something like the Freak Kit or any other kit that comes with different size barrel inserts can be nice to have, as it helps you always to find the right fit for the paintballs you are shooting.

Having the right size of paintballs to use with your barrel is important. For one, you'll have better accuracy, and for two you're paintball gun will be more efficient.

If you have one or two paintball barrels, and several options of paint it is a good idea to match the paint to your paintball barrel to see which brand of paint will fit better.

With the right paintball and barrel match you will have better accuracy, and better efficiency. You'll be shooting straighter as well as getting more shots out of your paintball tank.

To have better efficiency and accuracy, you'll need to find a brand of paint that fits well in your barrel. To find just the right fit of paintball to your paintball barrel take a paintball and set on the opening of your barrel (make sure it's the end that screws into your gun). If the paintball rolls all the way through, it's too small. If it sits on top without going in at least halfway, it's too big. The ideal fit is to have the paintball sit halfway into the barrel. While the paintball is in the barrel blow air into it like you would a blow gun. The paintball should fly out of the barrel like a dart. If you can't blow it out, it's too big. It shouldn't take too much air to blow it out.
